An article that focuses on the importance of original SEO content on a website and showing ways in which a person can make sure that all their content is original.
When a website is created there has to be content on it for the visitors of the site to be able to read. This content is possibly the most vital part of the website in order for it to be ranked highly on search engines. Content takes the form of text, pictures, links and various other items although it is just the text that will be concentrated on here. Search engine optimisation, or SEO is a way of tailoring the text on a website in order for it to be attractive to the spiders used by a search engine. The more relevant to a search the faster a spider will find it and place it on the search engines list. Once on that list it is important to be ranked near the top, this increases the chances of a person clicking into the website and thus gaining one more visitor to the site.
All content on websites must be original in order for it to be highly ranked and not flagged for improper use of content and breech of copyright. If a website is found to contain content that has been copied from one or several sources it can be removed by the search engines and will not get any traffic to it as it will be inaccessible. There are several ways in which you can ensure that the content on your website is original and here are a few ways in which you can do this.
• Write your own content. By doing this you can make sure that the SEO content on your website is 100% original as you know exactly where the content has come from. This is a very good way of maintaining original text and it will also save you time and money if you can do this yourself.
• Employ a third party to write your content. If you choose to do this then you will need to state to the third party that you require 100% original content for SEO purposes. Make it clear that anything that is cut and pasted or otherwise plagiarised will not be paid for and will result in you terminating your working relationship with them. If you use a freelancer you can ask for examples of previous work, or websites that they have written for. This can make sure you only get the best. Any freelancer who will not agree to this is not worth working with.
• Check all the content on your website with special software. This software is usually free to use if your content is online and there is a minimal charge for offline searches. These searches will look at the text you have provided and scour the Internet for anything that matches it. If a match is found it will be highlighted and you can amend the text accordingly. Sometimes matches are purely coincidental if something is phrased the same way, and this can easily be sorted out.
• Go to an established SEO company. They will look at your website and check all content for you, and if needed make the necessary adjustments to it.
By following these few simple rules you will make sure that all the content on your website is not only good for SEO but also original. This will lead to good search engine rankings and in turn this will bring many visitors to your site. This is of key importance if you are the owner of a website that is aiming to sell products or services. Remember original content means more traffic and this is crucial to your websites success.
